We, Human need a plan for 'I, Robot' in Twenty Years' Time

Project information

Even with more emphasis being put on intelligent machines, very little serious discourse about conscious machines and the ethics relating to them makes its way into mainstream discussion. Still in its peer-review stage, I propose a basic robo-ethical charter of rights for concsious machines, derived from the United Nations' "Universal Declaration of Human Rights". Futhermore, the rationale behind many of the decisions made are presented.

With this paper's publishing, I aim to stir interest in conscious machinery, paving the way for a future where man and machine coexist peacefully.
